Obituary of Alberta Parker

Olean-- Alberta K. Parker of 1710 Seneca Ave, Olean passed away Tuesday (May 11, 2010) after a long illness.
Born May 18, 1933, in Olean, NY she was the daughter of Herman D. and Blanche Paventa Eaton. On March 23, 1963, in Shinglehouse, PA. she married Richard A. Parker who predeceased her on January 10, 2003.
She was a graduate of Hinsdale Central School and for many years Mrs. Parker was the manager of Gemstone Jewelry in Olean.
Mrs. Parker attended and was active in the Obi Community Church. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling and vacationing to Florida for the winter months. She loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are six children Katherine M. (Michael) Feliciano of Buffalo, Karen D. (David) Prymak of Olean, Karla M. (Jack) Bright of Olean, Paul R. (Nina) Parker of Westons Mills, Kim M. (Christopher) Seavey of Maine, NY, Keren M. (Albert) Allen of Grand Rapids, MI.; 3 step-sons Gary C. (Cecelia) Parker of St. Thomas, PA., Gilbert A. (Marolyn) Parker of Johnson City, NY, Philip V. (Merry) Parker of York, PA; 21 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 sister Lillian W. (Bruce) Blackmon of Hinsdale; and several nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by one step-son Richard D. Parker.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W.State Rd. Olean on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (May 15, 2010) at 11am with Pastor Roger Hain, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery.
