Olean-- Ruth G. Faragher of 322 N. 12th Street, Olean, passed away Saturday (March 27, 2010) at the Olean General Hospital.
Born August 12, 1922 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of William and Jesse Gile Northcote. On October 9, 1948 at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean, she married John M. Faragher, who predeceased her on February 18, 2001.
Mrs. Faragher was a graduate of Olean High School. She had been employed for 20 years at AVX and was a former member of St. Mary of the Angels Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, scratch off lottery tickets and she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are 1 son Martin (Karen) Faragher of Olean, 3 daughters Janice (Mark) Lutterbein of Webster, NY, Patricia (Larry) Gibson of Rincon, GA, Barbara (Michael) Marcellin of Olean; a "special son" Joseph (Rennie) Batesky; 4 grandchildren Craig, Brett and Jenny Lutterbein; Jillian Marcellin; a "special grandson" Adam Batesky; and her cat, Maggie.
Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brother Billy Northcote.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral home on Tuesday (March 30, 2010) from 1-2pm, at which time funeral services will be held. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Flowers and memorials are gratefully declined.
