Kenneth E. Gordon, Sr. Olean, NY--Kenneth E. Gordon, Sr. of 1718 W. Fall Rd. died peacefully at his home on Thursday (March 18, 2010) with his loving son and caretaker by his side. Born September 2, 1931 in S. Connellsville, PA he was the son of Charles and Alice Bottomly Gordon. On September 2, 1950 at the Transfiguration Church rectory he married Julia Marie Kolasinski who predeceased him December 15, 2008 after 58 years of marriage. Mr. Gordon had been employed at Clark Brothers, later Dresser Rand Co. prior to his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the Steelworkers Union Local #4601 and he loved outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing. Surviving are 4 children John C. Gordon, Theodore Gordon, Kenneth E. (Lisa) Gordon, Jr. and Lois (Jerry) Sullivan, all of Olean; 5 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother Donald (Penny) Gordon of Olean and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by 2 sisters Jean Cousins and Dorothy Cowles and 1 brother Charles "Bud" Gordon. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Homecare and Hospice 1225 W. State St. Olean, NY 14760 or to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
