Obituary of Elizabeth Krieger

Allegany�"Elizabeth M. Krieger of 3666 Five Mile Road, passed away Saturday (March 13, 2010) at the Pines Healthcare Center in Olean, after a long illness.
Born March 3, 1923 in Machias, she was the daughter of George and Blanche Lounsbury Meyers. On June 17, 1941, she married Charles Daniel Krieger, who survives.
Mrs. Krieger was employed as a secretary at the Ellicottville Post, Otis Steel Company, The Salamanca Press, the City of Salamanca City Judge's office, as well as the Five Mile Baptist Church in Allegany.
She was a member of the 60 Plus Club in Allegany, the Allegany Baptist Church, A.A.R.P., and the Square Dancers Club in Franklinville. She enjoyed taking care of her home and spending time with her family.
Surviving besides her husband are 2 daughters Barbara (Kenneth W.) McClune of Salamanca, Diane (Joseph) Lamberson of Greensboro, NC; 4 grandchildren Kristine (Dan) Botsford, Elaine (Paul) McHardy, Michael (Kate) Lamberson, Kevin Lamberson; 1 great granddaughter Amanda Huber; 2 great-grandsons Jonathon and Luke McHardy; 1 great-great grandson Dimitrious Taylor; 5 nieces and nephews Suzanne Osgood, Mary Grace Davis, William Meyers, Stanley and Fred Schultz.
She was predeceased by a brother Harold Meyers.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road on Tuesday from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (March 17, 2010) at 11am at the funeral home. Rev. Frank Hayman of the Allegany Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Green Cemetery.
