Obituary of Donald VanHouten

Olean-- Donald E. VanHouten, formerly of 202 Clinton Street, and a long time resident of the Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center, passed away Friday (February 26, 2010) at the Pines in Olean.
Born September 22, 1934 in Hawthorne, NJ he was the son of John and Ella VanRyper VanHouten.
Mr. VanHouten was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1954-1957, during the Korean War. He was later locally employed as a mechanic. He was also an avid Nascar fan.
There are no known surviving relatives.
Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig and Hartle funeral home, 3128 W. State Road, on Tuesday at 1pm. Dr. Anthony Evans will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
