Obituary of Leona Boser

Leona M. Boser Bradford, PA-Leona M. Boser, formerly of Chipmonk Road in Allegany died Thursday (February 11, 2010) in the Bradford Ecumenical Home in Bradford, PA. Born June 30, 1914 in Roulette, PA she was the daughter of Jesse and Bessie Falk. In 1955 in Olean, NY she married Carl W. Boser who predeceased her September 20, 2000. Mrs. Boser was a resident of Allegany most of her adult life and had helped her husband in operating the Carl Boser Farms and Greenhouse in Chipmonk and also the South Bradford Fruit Market in Bradford, PA for almost 40 years. She was a member of the Allegany Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. She loved crocheting and the occasional opportunity to travel. She was mostly a devoted wife and grandmother. Surviving are 3 stepsons Gerald (Nancy) Boser and Brian (Diane) Boser, both of Bradford, PA and Thomas (Rose) Boser of South Bend, IN; 19 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a son Robert Joshnick in 1983; an infant son Dale Joshnick; 1 stepson Ronald Boser and 3 sisters Ethel, Margaret and Margie. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Saturday (February 13, 2010) from noon until time of services at 2:00pm. Rev. Frank Hayman, pastor of the Allegany Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Allegany Baptist Church 3236 Maple Avenue Allegany, NY 14706 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
