Obituary of Wayne P. Vaughn

Wayne P. Vaughn Olean, NY Wayne P. Vaughn, of 1608 Avenue B, passed away peacefully, Friday (July 28, 2023) at home, with his loving family by his side. Born August 2, 1955 in Bradford, PA, he was the son of Phillip and Jenny Thompkins Vaughn. On February 8, 1975 he married Robin Fisk who survives. Wayne attended Olean schools and worked as a tire technician for Broad Elm Tire and also for the Olean Times Herald for many years. He was a loving father and papa who lived for his grandchildren. In addition to his love of spending time with his family, he enjoyed playing bingo, playing guitar, and working on cars. He also enjoyed the loving companionship of his dog KoKo who passed in 2018. He leaves behind his loving wife Robin Fisk Vaughn; a son Glenn (Jennifer) Vaughn of California; a daughter Tonya (Randall) Costello of Salamanca; grandchildren Dante Vaughn, Kaylee (Jamie) Vaughn, Randall (Rayona) Costello, Jr., Alexis (Alice) Vaughn, Carter (Alyssa) Vaughn, and Maddison Costello; great grandchildren Maddox Peoples, Ezra Vaughn, and Harper Costello, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter Lexie Costello, and 8 brothers and sisters, Rose Vaughn, Eleanor Green, Walter Vaughn, Sr., Nina Brothers, Shirley Hicks, Bonnie Benner, and Edward Vaughn. His last surviving brother, Harold "Pete" Vaughn, passed away just hours prior to his death yesterday. The family will be present to receive friends on Monday (July 31, 2023) from 10:30am until noon at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean.
