Dennis F. Dash
Allegany, NY Dennis F. Dash, of 101 Williams St., passed away peacefully Sunday (April 9, 2023) at the Absolut Care of Salamanca after a long illness. He was surrounded in love by his family.
Born October 13, 1941 in Buffalo, he was the son of Lionel and Carol May Dash. On May 21, 1978 at the home of Debra’s parents in Olean, he married Debra A. Nicoletta who survives.

He moved to Allegany and managed and bartended at both the Olean VFW and Olean American Legion, both of which he truly enjoyed.

Dennis is survived by his wife Debra; 2 daughters Sara Dash of Olean and Deborah Dash of Chicago; 1 sister Laurie (Leland) Smith of Springville, and a nephew Brandon (Lisa) Smith of Mansfield. He is also survived by 5 sisters-in-law, Zita Mattison of Portville, Mary Ann Chesebro of Allegany, Cathy Cassata of Rochester, Sharon Nicoletta of West Virginia, and Christine Nicoletta of Boston, MA, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Tyler Dash, and a sister Gail Dash.
At Dennis’ request, there is no visitation. A celebration of life service will be held at a future time and will be announced.
