Anthony J. Ellman, Jr. Olean, NY Anthony J. Ellman, Jr., 50, of 123 S. 18th St. passed away unexpectedly Friday (July 8, 2022) shortly after admission to Olean General Hospital, with his loving family near his side. Born July 28, 1971 in St. Albans Naval Hospital in Queens, he was the son of Anthony J. and Theresa Ann Nelson Ellman, Sr. Tony attended Washington West Elementary School, graduated in 1989 from Olean High School, and attended Jamestown Community College. He was a years-long, die-hard NY Yankees fan and was also a good bowler in previous years, having bowled a 299 game. Along with his father he enjoyed attending ham and turkey raffles, clambakes, and gun raffles. Surviving are his father of Olean; 2 brothers Christopher (Casey) Ellman and Ryan Ellman, both of Olean; his beloved niece and nephew Ava and Carter, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Theresa on November 10, 2017. The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 5-8pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. A funeral service will be held Friday (July 15, 2022) at 10:30am in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
