Obituary of Joan P. Stomerosky

Olean- Joan P. Stomerosky was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Monday (January 24, 2022) at The Pines of Olean. Born December 24, 1931, she was the daughter of Walter & Lillian Gabler Stomerosky. A graduate of Olean High School, Joan worked at the Olean Medical Group before her years as administrative assistant at St Joseph Maronite Church. She loved all things poodles, especially the poodles that lived with her for years as companions. Devoted to her faith, she had many books related to prayer and spirituality which she enjoyed sharing with others. She will be remembered for her generosity and creative computer skills and missed especially by Sr Jean Klimczak and Paula Derwick who were special caregivers. Before her move to the Pines in 2018, Joan was at Eden Heights for over 10 years where she enjoyed the various group activities and made many attractive digital collages of these. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 29, at the Basilica of St Mary of the Angels with Fr Peter Bassey, celebrant.
