Elmer E. Ellis, Jr. Olean, NY Elmer E. Ellis, Jr., 51, of 111 N. 12th St., passed away Sunday (January 9, 2022) at the Olean General Hospital. Born November 9, 1970 in Olean, he was the son of Elmer E. Ellis, Sr. and Judy McNeil. In 2003 in Gram, TX he married Jeannette Ellis who predeceased him January 9, 2010. Elmer was raised in Olean and went to Olean High School. He worked at various places in Olean, including the former AMC, Patch ‘N Seal, JCC, and for his brother Robert’s contracting business, Dirt Cheap Home Improvement in Olean. He enjoyed the company of his longtime girlfriend Tracy Scott, watching football, and spending time with his friends having a cold glass of beer. In addition to his loving companion Tracy Scott, he leaves behind his mother Judy McNeil of Olean; a son Khristerpher Ellis of Salamanca; a daughter Melinda Ellis of Salamanca; several beautiful grandchildren; 4 siblings Tina (Dave Tatum) Walker, Joseph (Wilma) McNeil, Tammy (Mike) Strade and Robert (Kimberly) Putt, all of Olean and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends are welcome to attend a visitation on Saturday (January 15, 2022) from 10:30am to 11:30am at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
