Eunice F. Valley Allegany, NY Eunice F. Valley, 107, passed away Wednesday (September 29, 2021) at The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Olean. Born May 17, 1914 in Allegany, she was the daughter of Albert Lee and Della M. Wheeler Hall. On June 23, 1950 in Eldred, PA she married Harry J. Valley who predeceased her March 9, 1968. Eunice was a 1932 graduate of Allegany Central School and first began work for the former Acme Electric Co. She later was a bookkeeper for the former McCoy’s Hardware Co. in Allegany prior to her retirement. She was a longtime, devoted member of the former Allegany Presbyterian Church in Allegany. She enjoyed several years of assisting in the work of the St. Elizabeth Mission Society in Allegany. She leaves behind 2 daughters Susan (William) Putt of Allegany and Paula (Oleg Bychkov) Valley of Olean; 2 grandchildren Andy (Christy) Wolf and Sara (Eric) Talbot and 3 great grandchildren Timothy Wolf, Amelia Wolf and Mallorie Talbot. In addition to her husband Harry, she was predeceased by 3 brothers George Hall, Lewis Hall and Linwood Hall. The family welcomes friends to attend a graveside ceremony to be held Wednesday (October 6, 2021) at 2pm in Allegany Cemetery. Rev. Marilyn Hale, pastor of Portville Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Allegany Public Library, 90 W. Main St., Allegany, NY 14706 or to the Cuba Circulating Library, 39 E Main St, Cuba, NY 14727. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
