Pam, Cindy, David, and Tom,
Losing your mom is hard no matter our age. But what wonderful memories of a life well-lived. The last of that generation of our wonderful old neighborhood is gone. So many good memories of playing at the Wurtz’s house. Invitations to tag along when you went camping - dressing up in costumes for Halloween parades - Christmas caroling. And I can still taste the delicious Christmas fudge in the shape of a Christmas tree and those wonderful sticky buns at Easter time that she always shared with us.
Sending fond memories and sympathy,
Janet Annet ( That’s what she always called me)

Pam, Cindy, David and Tom: I am so sorry for the passing of Fran. There are more memories than I can say when our families got together and the love of your mom and dad. It was many years before I realized that Fran was actually not my aunt. I thought we were blood related and loved you all as if we were. She was the very best of friends with my mom and there were so many laughs and good times that my parents and yours shared over the years. She and Lloyd can now be together with my mom and dad playing cards and laughing. Love to you all. Melodie

"Regardless of the circumstances this is always a difficult time. In my younger years I was the younger one and your Mom and my sister, Marcella, were the best of friends, When I became an adult and moved away I then visited with your mom every time I was in the area. I just wrote my niece this morning asking if she knew anything about Fran. Then another niece sent me the news later this morning. Fran was a wonderful person and friend. My name was Welch and lived close by when growing up. The family is in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Vi Christensen "

To Pam, Cindy, David & Tom, Sincere sympathy on the loss of your mom. She was a wonderful friend and neighbor, and always a welcoming face at Leo's and at church when we would see her, as well as when we would see her working in her/your backyard when we were kids. I remember her inviting friends and neighbors to go Christmas caroling in the neighborhood each Christmas, and then invited us all into your home for cookies and hot chocolate afterwards. In more recent years, I enjoyed the opportunities to get to know her better, and loved hearing the stories she would tell about the "old" days and "old" neighborhood. I had the pleasure of being invited to dinner once with Joan and Doris and Joanne Bonhoff a couple years ago and was most amazed at her making hand tossed pizza, tossing pizza doh at 90+ years old! She was an inspiring lady and I will always remember her.

Dear Pam, Cindy, David, and Tom--I am so very sorry for your loss. I learned so much from your Mom when we worked at Leo's together. I am proud to have been her friend. We shared a lot of laughs and good times and we even lost our husbands on the very same day. I will miss her very much. Mary Beth.
