Andrea G. Ruggieri
Olean, NY Andrea G. Ruggieri, a resident of Olean most of her life, died Friday (December 22, 2017) at Lenox Hospital in New York City.
Andrea was born at St. Francis Hospital in Olean on November 8, 1966, the daughter of Ford Francis and Helen Mitchell Ruggieri.
She graduated from Olean High School where she was on the swim team and was selected for the National Honor Society. She also participated for many years on the swim team at the YMCA.
She graduated from Harper College at SUNY Binghamton and spent a semester abroad studying art in Florence, Italy. She attended an Empire State College program in New York City, studying with practicing artists, and worked for AGI Co. in New York City. She had a solo exhibit of her art at the Olean Public Library Gallery.
She is survived by her mother of Olean; a sister Maria Ruggieri of Niantic, CT; a brother Ford M. (Rachael) Ruggieri of Syracuse; a niece Alex Moen and 2 nephews Connor Moen and James Ruggieri.
Her father died in 2006.
There will be a memorial visitation on Saturday (January 13, 2018) from 2pm-4pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean.
