Gerald R. Sikes, Jr.
Hinsdale, NY Gerald R. Sikes, Jr. of 3880 Pennsylvania Rd. passed away peacefully Friday (November 3, 2017) at the Olean General Hospital after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family.
Born November 1, 1967 in Bradford, PA he was the son of Gerald R. and Rosalie M. Knight Sikes, Sr. He was married to Joyce D. Kellogg who survives.
Gerald was raised in Olean and was always was busy working various jobs. Most recently he was employed by Case Cutlery in Bradford, PA.
He was a member of the Hillside Wesleyan Church in Olean and was known for being an avid Miami Dolphins fan.
Surviving besides his wife are 2 daughters Joy Sikes of Bradford and Nevaeh Sikes of Ohio; 1 grandson Keaven Sikes of Machias; 1 sister Dawn (Alex) Rodriquez of Bradford, PA; 1 brother Steven Sikes of Olean and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday (November 11, 2017) from 2-4pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. A memorial service will begin at 4pm in the funeral home. Rev. Dan Todd, senior pastor of Hillside Wesleyan Church, will officiate. Following the service, friends are invited to the house of Gerald's sister, Dawn Rodriquez, in Rew, PA for a gathering and meal.
