Ralph J. Liberatore

Olean, NY     Ralph J. Liberatore, recently of Alder Court Apartments, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday (October 21, 2017).

Born February 25, 1930 in Buffalo he was the son of Felix and Rose Fontana Liberatore.  He was married 61 years to June Crane who passed away April 17, 2014.

Mr. Liberatore was a native of Buffalo where he lived for many years prior to moving to Olean in 1991.  All of his life he lived to bring the love of Christ to others.  Because of his talents as a piano and accordion player, he volunteered his musical ability to bring his mission of God's goodness to his family and friends, and especially to senior citizens at various places including Eden Heights, The Pines, the Motherhouse Infirmary, the former Linwood Center and to those attending Total Senior Care in Olean.  He also traveled to Buffalo for 10 years to entertain at Roswell Park.  He was also one of the Buffalo Bills' most faithful fans.

He leaves behind his loving family including 3 sons Phillip (Diane) Liberatore of Salamanca, Edward Liberatore of Syracuse and Anthony Liberatore of New York State; 3 daughters Rosemary (Darryl) Whitcomb of Lockport, Diane (John) Garuso of Syracuse and Joann Liberatore of Florida; 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; 1 brother Philip (Karla) Liberatore of Buffalo; 1 sister Laura Krzywick of Buffalo; an uncle Peter Liberatore of Buffalo; a sister-in-law Mabel Smith of New Hampshire; many nieces and nephews and numerous step brothers and sisters, both living and deceased.

He was welcomed into the Lord's Kingdom by his wife and granddaughters.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State St. Olean.  Visitation will continue on Saturday (October 28, 2017) from 9-10am at the funeral home, with services to begin at 10am..  Rev. Al Batt, pastor of Southside Union Chapel, will officiate.  Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery.  In acknowledgement of Mr. Liberatore's love of Buffalo Bills football, friends and family attending the wake or funeral are encouraged to wear Buffalo Bills regalia.

In lieu of flowers or memorials, monetary donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.  Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com.
