Such a loss is often so hard to express with words ... Mr. Taylor was a kind man with a great mind and a sharing spirit. My deepest sympathy to you Shielah, Garrett, Robyn, and family. I have an origami rabbit that he made for my grandaghter at an ARVAS event, just one of the reminders of his love of the world. He will be greatly missed. I am greatful to have known him.

I was so saddened to read of Bob's passing in the Providence paper. I was a good friend of his from way back, remembering him entering the Wickford Art Festival and his love of the arts. Also saddened by the fact that he had a long illness. I send thoughts and condolences to all of his family.

Sheilah, Garrett and Robin,
My family and I send our heartfelt condolences to you on the loss of your beloved husband and father. His presence at the Olean Library was everywhere, from art exhibits to aquariums. May the love of family and friends help you through this difficult time. May he be at peace and this gives your hearts some comfort. He was a blessing to the Olean community. Thank you for sharing him.

How fortunate we were to have someone like Robert as part of our community.
A true "renaissance man" who happily shared his many talents and gifts with us all.
Origami, bonsai, painting, ice skating, books, birds, fish, rocks, all things in nature, he approached with
interest and enthusiasm, pulling us into his wondrous world. As Arts Coordinator at the library, he
was responsible for hundreds of exhibits, introducing us to wonderful area artists and giving them a
venue to show their art. He patiently videotaped hundreds of fine writers and poets when they spoke
at the library, preserving these one-of-a-kind events for the archives. He hung the shows, welcomed
the visitors, and even made his fabulous punch for the opening receptions! His hard work and many
contributions enriched us all. He will be sadly missed.
