Obituary of Charlotte A. O'Hara

Charlotte A. O’Hara Olean, NY—Charlotte A. O’Hara of Aspen Manor died Saturday (August 2, 2008) in the Olean General Hospital. Born November 24, 1915 in Elkbrook, NY she was the daughter of John and Pearl Twaddell Martin, Sr. On December 20, 1941 in Warren, PA she married Michael O’Hara who predeceased her November 4, 1969. Mrs. O’Hara attended school in Vandalia, Keystone, PA, Farmer’s Valley, PA and was a graduate of Norwich, PA High School. She had been employed by Acme Electric Co. for many years and later worked as a baker at the Allegany Central School cafeteria until 1981. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and the Catholic Daughters of America. In recent years she enjoyed the company of her friends at Aspen Manor. Surviving are 1 sister Bernice Dennis of Olean and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by 1 sister Helen Ryan and 2 brothers Arnold Martin and Ken Martin. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (August 5, 2008) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. Richard Husted, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
