Jeannette K. Ducey Olean, NY—Jeannette K. Ducey of 102 W. Spring St. died Tuesday (November 11, 2008) in the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Born February 9, 1936 in Olean, NY she was the daughter of John D. and Cora Elliott Styles. On October 6, 1962 at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean she married Joseph A. Ducey who predeceased her January 15, 2001. Mrs. Ducey was a resident of Olean most of her life and had been employed by the former Aerovox Co. in Olean. She later worked as a receptionist for the Olean Medical Group prior to her retirement in 1999. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church and Olean Lady Knights. She was always one to lend a helping hand to others and she had worked as a caregiver for the elderly in the Olean area. Surviving are 1 sister Mary Morrison of W. Seneca; 2 brothers John E. Styles, Jr. and Robert G. (Judith) Styles, both of Olean and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a twin brother James Styles and a sister Betty Styles. Friends will be received at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean on Monday from 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (November 18, 2008) beginning with a prayer service at 12:30 in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00pm at St. Mary of the Angels Church. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be next to her husband in the veteran’s circle of Mt. View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Angels Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
