Obituary of Heath J. Stone

Heath Justin Stone aka “Heathola” passed unexpectedly at his home Saturday (July 29, 2023) after a long battle with a beautifully tragic mind and a heart far too big for this world. Born June 15, 1975 in Olean he was the son of Daniel and Cheryl Stone who survive. On October 27th, 2018 in Cuba, he married the love of his life and best friend , Trisha (Folland) Stone, who survives. Heath was a man of few words but of many smiles, that touched so many hearts and loved nothing more than being a father to his beautiful children and the knight in shining armor to his wife. Zoey, his 4-year-old daughter, would like it known that daddy is still way cooler than Mommy and forever her best friend. As much as he loved and prided himself on his family, he also loved the country he served for. As a staff sergeant in the 277th Quartermaster Company for the United States Army Reserve, Heath commanded his soldiers with a strong, loving hand and heart. His company was just as much family as the one at home waiting for him. So many hearts were touched by this man and the world will be a little less bright without him in it. And per his wife, also a whole lot less sexy without that handsome man walking the streets. Our family has decided to dedicate where he took his last breath and all of ours with it to this beautiful man. Glass bottles will be placed on branches and anyone can leave notes in them for him, for themselves or for whatever God you believe in, so there is always somewhere for people to go where someone will always be listening to anyone in need. I hope that when we all hear the wind chiming the glass together, it is him who's talking back to us. People should never feel alone in a world with far too many people in it. So please, anyone struggling with depression, reach out to someone, anyone, come put a note on our tree. There is always a reason to stay on this earth. From his bestie for the restie and wife Trisha, you will always be my Heathcliff... " IF ALL ELSE PERISHED AND HE REMAINED, I SHOULD STILL CONTINUE TO BE; AND IF ALL ELSE REMAINED AND HE WERE ANNIHILATED, THE UNIVERSE WOULD TURN TO A MIGHTY STRANGER. I SHOULD NOT SEEM A PART OF IT.... WHATEVER OUR SOULS ARE MADE OUT OF, HIS AND MINE ARE THE SAME." Surviving in addition to his parents and wife are his children, Lily, Zoey , Braxton, Milena, Adriana, and Breannon; his siblings Garth, Beth, and Shane. Friends are invited to attend a graveside service where Heath will be laid to rest on Friday (August 11, 2023) at 11 am at St. Bonaventure Cemetery . All are welcome to come and show the love this man deserved while he was still here. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig, and Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
