Obituary of Jack E. Doxey, Sr.

Jack E. Doxey, Sr. Portville, NY Jack Elden Doxey, Sr., 50, born November 10, 1975 in Olean, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at the Olean General Hospital, following a lifelong illness. Jack was one of five children born to Robert M. and Paula J. Hewitt Doxey, Jr. Jack was well known for his love of the outdoors and spent many years as a logger as well as having operated his firewood business. He also enjoyed racing his #46 superstock at the local racetracks. Jack leaves behind his father, Robert; two children, Jack (Brooke) Doxey, Jr. and Nakita (Deion) Rosalia; two grandchildren; his siblings, Paula (Theodore) Haag, Jr., Robert Doxey, III, Scott (Mindy Neal) Doxey, and Albert Doxey, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Paula, on June 11, 2019. The family will receive friends on Friday February 2, 2026 from noon to 2PM at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd., Olean. A funeral service will begin at 2PM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Olean. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
