Obituary of Amy R. Granger
Please share a memory of Amy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ellicottville, NY Oh, how our world was a beautiful place with Amy (Aimie) Rose in it. Amy Rose Granger received her heavenly blessing on Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021.
Born on October 16th, 1964 in Olean, she was the daughter of Emma Lou Forness Granger and the late Robert Granger, Sr. She had three daughters whom she shared a love of traveling with. Together, they traveled to Hawaii, Maine and cruised the Caribbean. Katelyn Elise “Kitty Kat” is her oldest daughter, married to Nicholas Drum, of Rushford; the middle child is Julia MacKenzie “Buggie”, married to Randall Kyser, of Leland, NC; her youngest is Paige Elizabeth “Wekie”, engaged to Brandon Anderson, of Knoxville, TN; Aunt Charlene Granger, of Olean and a brother-in-law Ron Nicholas of Venice, FL. Let’s not forget her sidekick, Sparta, who was her favorite car ride passenger and cuddle-bug puppy. She was extremely overjoyed to be promoted to “Maeme” of her first grandchild, due July 31st. We know she will be the first one in our family to meet the baby and will always be watching over our growing family.
Amy graduated from Northwood University with her degree in Interior Design where she then continuously displayed her talents for many years, including rearranging/designing her daughters’ homes with each visit. She most recently was employed at the Post Office, where she happily greeted everyone and became fast friends with locals at whatever office she was working in.
Some of Amy’s favorite things were driving around looking at houses, traveling anywhere, antiquing, crafting, thinking up large scale events and home improvements. She was the BIGGEST supporter of her girls, always cheering them on and involved in every aspect of their lives.
Almost daily, she could be found doing something random to help a friend or even a stranger. All were considered friends, and she always had a happy demeanor. She was the most thoughtful person in the entire world and we are unbelievably blessed to have had her in our lives. God is good, and we will see her again....maybe on her potato farm.
She is predeceased by her father Robert Granger, Sr. and sister, Linnae Granger Nicholas.
