Obituary of Brian L. Letts

Brian Lee Letts Olean, NY Brian Lee Letts, 50, of 309 N. 12th St., passed away Monday (May 10, 2021) at Olean General Hospital after a brief illness. Born February 6, 1971 in Olean, he was the son of Raymond L. Letts and Marcella Baldwin Smith. On June 4, 1999 in Olean he married Linda S. Doty who survives. Brian attended Hinsdale schools and later graduated from Olean High School. He was currently approaching nearly 30 years as the night manager for Ried's Food Barn in Olean. He enjoyed camping, fishing, softball, and was a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan. He also was a fan of his daughter Tori's alma mater, Oklahoma State University, home of the Cowboys. He especially loved his animals, especially his recently departed dog "Max" and his cat "Binx". Surviving are his wife Linda and his father Raymond of Olean; a daughter Tori (Jake) Starkey of Stillwater, OK; 1 sister Barbara Letts of Olean; a nephew Anthony (fiancé Jesse) Letts of Olean; a niece Briana Dubois of Olean; 2 great nephews and a great niece. He was predeceased by his grandparents, his mother Marcella Smith; a sister Kimberly Letts; a brother James Letts and an aunt Cindy Lou Gerhard. Friends will be received on Saturday (May 15, 2021) from 11am until 2pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. A funeral service will begin at 2pm in the funeral home, followed by burial in Mt. View Cemetery, Olean. Rev. Rick Price will officiate.
