Nancy C. Meyer Olean, NY Nancy C. Meyer, formerly of Brookside Apartments, passed away Tuesday (March 16, 2021) at the Olean General Hospital. She had recently been residing at Field of Dreams in Allegany. Born October 7, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA she was the daughter of Andrew Joseph and Amelia Magdalene Meyer Dotterweich. In 1951 she married Walter H. Meyer who predeceased her in 2009. Mrs. Meyer received her Catholic education at Annunciation School in Pittsburgh and later attended Seton Hill College (now University) in Greensburg, PA. She raised her family, lived in Ohio for a number of years, and while in her 40's she returned to school to complete a Doctorate in Psychology. She then worked as an independent psychotherapist until her retirement. She resided in Olean for the past 10 years and was a devout communicant of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. Surviving are her 5 children Mary Ann Meyer of Big Run, PA, Leo Meyer of Salt Lake City, UT, Elizabeth "Beth" Meyer of Fairview, WVA, Margaret (Rick) Meyer-Foucha of Long Beach, MS and Lawrence (Sarah) Meyer of Smethport, PA; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Friends are invited to a memorial mass at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels on Tuesday (March 23, 2021) at 10am. Rev. David Tourville will be the celebrant. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, 202 S. Union St. Olean, NY 14760. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
