Jeffrey A. "Uncle Hoot" Teeter, of Salamanca, passed away Sunday (January 17, 2021) at the Olean General Hospital after a long illness.
Born March 18, 1957 in Gowanda, he was the son of William A. and Priscilla M. Tennies Teeter. He was married to Marilyn Teeter who predeceased him.
Jeffrey was a 1975 graduate of Cattaraugus High School and later attended Hillsdale College in Michigan. He had been employed for Randolph Children's Home for a number of years.
He had many interests, including being a sports enthusiast, and he coached for both youth football and for youth softball leagues. He was a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys, the NY Yankees and the Michigan Wolverines. He was also an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He leaves behind a son Joshua Teeter of Jamestown; a daughter Lindsay Teeter of Salamanca; 4 grandchildren Danica Teeter, Gavin Teeter, Maryn Monahan and Shea Monahan, all of Salamanca; 1 brother Charles (Yvette) Teeter and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Joseph Wayne Teeter.
