Obituary of Robert E. Dodge

Robert E. Dodge Limestone, NY Robert E. Dodge, 86, of 4966 Nichols Run Rd., passed away Saturday (January 9, 2021) at his residence, where he had been cared for during his recent illness. Born June 7, 1934 in Olean, he was the son of Archie M. Dodge and Jeanette L. Cole Dodge Lazarowitz. On March 20, 1959 he married Twila Ramage who predeceased him April 30, 2018. Bob was a big fan of the Buffalo Bills and also loved animals. He enjoyed trips to the casino, a good steak dinner, and studying his bible. He is survived by a son John (Nicole) Dodge of Limestone; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother Charles (Cathy) Lazarowitz of Napoli; a sister Shirley (Dennis) Pierce of Bradford, PA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Twila, he was predeceased by 3 sons Robert Dodge, Jr., Archie Dodge and Richard Dodge; 2 brothers Harold Dodge and his wife Ann, and Archie Dodge. Friends will be received on Wednesday (January 13, 2021) from 11am until 1pm at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State St., Olean. Funeral services will begin at 1pm in the funeral home. Rev. Dennis Pierce, brother-in-law to Bob, will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the SPCA of Cattaraugus County, 2944 Olean Hinsdale Rd., Olean, NY 14760 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
