Dear Paul,
I am so sorry to learn Rhea has gone home to be with our Lord. She was such a wonderful person! I always enjoyed bumping into her... she always put a smile on my face, as she always had one on hers. Again - I am so very sorry! She truly will be missed in this world!!

I had the privilege of having Miss Carls for my Spanish teacher. What a wonderful teacher, and more importantly, what a wonderful and kind person. My sincere condolences Mr. Carls.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. O Lord, your sorrowing Mother stood by your cross; help us in our sorrows to share your sufferings. Amen

I am so sorry to see that Miss Carls passed. She was a great teacher. I had her for both French and Spanish and she did a great job because to this day I can use my Spanish and French when needed. For example....I am moving and had to assemble 2 racks for storage. There were left-over plastic pieces that had no mention in the instruction steps for where and when to assemble them. I could not find instructions in English, but did see the picture of the objects. However, no explanation in English or Spanish which I could have read easily. However....the explanation was there in French. "Lo and Behold" I was able to read it enough to know that it said, "These pieces are for protection during shipping. Discard or re-cycle." Thank you, Miss Carls. I also remember that in her classes I was able to pay attention while reading a book from home. She never chided me for it, as my grades were very good. However she was always interested in what I was reading and a few times asked to borrow my books when I was done. (Sometimes the books must have surprised her as to the content considering the subject matter...but she never mentioned that either.) She also was the advisor to the yearbook of which I worked with her as editor my senior year. She will be missed by so many people as she was one of my favorites and I know of many others. She was such a good person.
