Obituary of Ann W. Johnson

Ann W. Johnson "Loving Mom and Grandma" Olean, NY Ann W. Johnson, a former longtime resident of N. 9th St. passed away Friday (September 9, 2016) at The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Olean. Born July 22, 1918 in Lanse, PA she was the daughter of Carl and Wilhelmina Janson Ahlberg. In 1950 she married Thure Johnson who predeceased her in 1977. Mrs. Johnson had been a resident of Olean most of her life and had worked in sales for various stores in Olean including Fox and Stevens and Winchester Optical. She last worked at St. Elizabeth Motherhouse, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and enjoyed activities at home with her family. She will be remembered by her family as a hard working, kind, honest and loving person who was also a wonderful cook. Surviving are a son Donald (Roxann) Johnson of Olean; 3 grandchildren Rachel (John) Crawford, Zachary (Ashlea) Johnson and Alexandra (Vinny) Pezzimenti; 2 great grandchildren Lila Crawford and Jack Crawford and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by 4 brothers Evert Ahlberg, Richard Ahlberg, Melvin Ahlberg and Theobert Ahlberg and 6 sisters Dagmar Seldes, Millie Lucas, Lily Nelson, Esther Carlson, Agnes Carlson and an infant sister Evelyn Ahlberg. At Mrs. Johnson's request, no services are being planned at this time. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
