Vivian Pritz Allegany, NY Vivian Pritz, formerly of Herman St. in Salamanca and of Allegany since 1998 entered into eternal rest on Tuesday (June 28, 2016) at the Bradford (PA) Manor. She has now been reunited with her beloved husband Raymond who passed away January 23, 2003. Born August 26, 1931 in Olean she was the daughter of Jerry and Rita Ford LaCavera. Vivian was a graduate of Olean High School and the Arnot-Ogden Memorial Hospital Nursing School in Elmira. She move to Salamanca in 1955 and began employment as a registered nurse at the former Salamanca District Hospital and later the former St. Francis Hospital. She also worked at Olean General Hospital and the Cattaraugus County Nursing Home prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Church and a former member of Holy Cross Church in Salamanca. She was also a member of the Salamanca District Hospital Retired Personnel, AARP, the See-Saws Square Dance Club in Salamanca and the Penn-NY Promanaders. She was the beloved "Mom" to 4 daughters Laurie (Steve) Lindstrom of Bradford, PA, Lynn (Robert) McAllister of Jacksonville, AR, Colleen Pritz of Sherwood, AR and Gigi (Randy Deversa) DuPont of Jamestown; 7 grandchildren Heather (Trey) Marra, Nicole (Brian) Chudy, Katy (Jeremy Guthrie) Caswell, Shawn (Jessica) McAllister, Jacob (Abi) McAllister, Andrew DuPont and Abbey (Michael) Terhune and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond whom she married August 20, 1955 at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean and a grandson Aaron M. DuPont. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday (July 2, 2016) at 11:00am in St. Bonaventure Church. Rev. James Vacco, OFM, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean. Online condolences may be expressed at oleanfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Parkway, W. Amherst, NY 14228, the Bradford Manor, 50 Langmaid Ln, Bradford, PA 16701 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
