Nancy M. Kavanagh Olean, NY Nancy M. Kavanagh, of 703 W. Green St. and recently a resident of The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Olean passed away Monday (November 3, 2015). Born September 2. 1936 in Buffalo she was the daughter of Floyd W. and Helen F. Isbister Lord. Nancy was a graduate of Cuba Central School and had been employed at AVX in Olean prior to her retirement. She was a devoted Christian and attended Living Waters Church for over 20 years. She read her Bible everyday. That devotion carried over to her family to whom she was a very caring mother and grandmother. She loved baking and sewing for her family and made baby blankets for everyone she knew. Her hobbies were knitting, sewing and crocheting as well as doing arts and crafts. Surviving are her children Susan Lord of Marana, AZ, Cheryl Sisson of Olean, Ellen (Daniel) Petersen and Richard (Theresa) Kavanagh, both of Allegany, Valerie (Albert) Loftus of Olean and Angela Kavanagh of Allegany; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a sister Margaret A. Lord of Clarksville, TN; a sister-in-law Yvonne Lord of Franklinville and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Floyd A. Lord and Wade W. Lord and 2 grandchildren Robert L. Shoup III and Evan T. Bailey. There are no scheduled services at this time. An announcement of her memorial service will be at a later date. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, Olean.
