Obituary of Casimir H. Konieczka

Casimir H. Konieczka Olean, NY Casimir H. Konieczka of 1642 E. River Rd. lost his courageous battle with cancer on Sunday (June 7, 2015.) Born February 3, 1964 in Olean he was the son of Casimir and Jean Quigley Konieczka. Cas graduated from Olean High School and SUNY Alfred and spent almost 20 years of his career as Director of the Olean Youth Bureau. Most recently, he was Security Supervisor at the Seneca Allegany Casino in Salamanca. He enjoyed working on home improvement projects, was an avid golfer in his younger days, and was an active member of the Sons of the American Legion in Olean. Surviving besides his mother of Olean are a daughter Casey Konieczka of Buffalo; 4 sisters Lorrie (Michael) Cooney of Houston, TX, Kathie (Steve) O'Mara of Cortland, Nancy Wonderling of Olean and Mary (Mike) Browning of Port Richey, FL; his beloved companion Estelle Giardini of Olean and her children Robert, Kyle and Emily; 7 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service to be held Thursday (June 11, 2015) at 11:00am at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. The family will be present to welcome friends from 10-11am. Rev. Gregory Dobson, pastor of St. Mary of the Angels Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
