Obituary of Edwin J. McPeak

Olean- Edwin J. McPeak, formerly of Olean, died Tuesday (May 26, 2015) at the Wellsville Manor Care Center. Born September 2, 1931 in Olean, he was the son of Jeremiah and Marie Ursoy McPeak. Mr. McPeak was a graduate of Olean High School and enlisted in the United States Army, serving from 1952-1954. He owned and operated Ed's Electric in Olean for many years. He was a member of the IBEW Local Union 106 and the former Bethel AME Church. In his free time, Mr. McPeak enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are five children Kathy McPeak Roland of Buffalo, Edwin T. McPeak of Houston, TX, Stephen (Librada) McPeak of Olean, Tresea (Derek) Ellis of Troy, MI, Edwin J. McPeak, Jr. of Olean; many grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Sarah Johnson, Jeremiah McPeak, Nancy Herbert and Marie Kent. Friends are invited to a graveside service to be held Thursday (May 28, 2015) at 12pm at Mt. View Cemetery in Olean. Memorials if desired may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
