Bernard O. Fox Olean, NY Bernard O. Fox, a lifelong resident of Olean, passed away Friday (April 24, 2015) at the Cuba Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility. Born December 2, 1938 in Ridgeway, PA he was the son of Osberne M. and Madeline L. Moyer Fox. Bernard attended Allegany Central School and also served with the US Army Reserves. He first worked in the area oil fields and later for Work and Silvis Co. in Allegany. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and used to enjoy working on cars and gardening. He always loved singing in a choir. Surviving are a son Jason (Ann) Fox of Olean; several grandchildren; 2 brothers Ronald Fox of Olean and Ralph (Toni) Fox of Cuba and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant daughter Lisa and a brother Roger Fox. Friends may gather with the family on Wednesday (April 29, 2015) from 10:00am until 11:00am at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home 3128 W. State Rd. Olean. Services will begin at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to either of his two principal care-giving facilities, Cuba Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility 140 W. Main St. Cuba, NY 14727 or to The ReHabilitation Center 1439 Buffalo St. Olean, NY 14760.
