Harold J. "Harry" McCoy
Olean, NY Harold J. "Harry" McCoy, 62, of 3470 Route 16N passed away suddenly Wednesday (April 22, 2015) shortly upon arrival at Olean General Hospital.
Born September 9, 1952 in Coudersport, PA he was the son of Richard and Josie Stone McCoy. In 1995 in Jamestown he married Connie First who survives.
Harry was a 1970 graduate of Northern Potter High School and began work with Dresser Rand. He retired in 2014 after 40 years of employment.
He was a member of the Hinsdale American Legion, the Olean Elk's Lodge, the Pulaski Club and St. Stephen's Club. He most enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving besides his wife are a daughter Amy (Earl) Lovejoy; a son Richard "Tony" Wagner; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 4 siblings Richard H. (Janet) McCoy, Sally (Melvin) Crippen, John McCoy and Darold "Kenny" (Cindy) McCoy and several nieces and nephews.
An informal gathering to celebrate Harry's life will be attended by family and friends in such a way as he requested to be remembered by.
